2026 IADR Symposium: Oral Health Equity Through the Life-Course for Healthy Ageing
Mar 18, 2026 • Event
Location: San Diego Convention Center Time: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM (Pacific), 26th March 2026
A/Prof Ankur Singh will be co-chairing a symposium at the 2026 IADR in San Diego on 26th March. Please join us for a session bringing together experts in dental public health and epidemiology from Canada, Australia, USA, and Ireland to discuss Oral Health Equity Through the Life-Course for Healthy Ageing.
The burden of oral diseases and persistent oral health inequalities pose a significant public health challenge. In this symposium, international speakers will harness knowledge on life-course epidemiological methods, the biology of ageing, and intervention science to discuss equitable healthy ageing through population oral health improvements. Drawing on contemporary knowledge on oral health and healthy ageing, complementary presentations will discuss novel findings from longitudinal studies on ageing from international contexts, including hallmark indicators of social and biological ageing and their sensitivity to oral health exposures and interventions, the risks of mistimed timed preventive oral health interventions, oral health through the life course as a necessary cause for healthy ageing and the need for shifting the needle on preventive interventions.
It would be lovely to see you there! If you are unable to make it, we will share details of the symposium on our website.
